Point of View in Creative Writing
In this course, Professor Lars Iyer (University of Newcastle) explores the role of point of view in creative writing. In the first module we introduce point of view, and look at the first person central narrator. In the send module, we consider another first person point of view: first person peripheral. In the third module we examine the effects of using multiple first-person narrators and writing in a stream of consciousness style, before turning to third person perspectives in the fourth module. In the fifth and final module, we finish by looking at the second person.
