Transhumanism

In this course, Dr Chris Willmott (University of Leicester) explores transhumanism. In the first module, we introduce transhumanism. In the second module, we look at the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. In the third module, we take a closer look at the relationship between Nietzsche's thought and transhumanist philosophy. In the fourth module, we examine the religious responses to transhumanism. In the fifth module, we ask the question: are androids posthuman?

Transhumanism

In this module, we introduce the key concepts of transhumanism, and transhumanist thinkers, focusing in particular on (i) transhumanism and posthumanism (ii) influence on culture and technology (iii) key thinkers (iv) core themes of transhumanism (v) technological interventions (vi) the posthuman goal.
