Rules of Criminal Law

In this course, Professor John Child (University of Birmingham) explores the rules of criminal law. In the first module, we introduce substantive criminal law. In the second module, we look at the sources of criminal law. In the third module, we examine offences, before turning to defences in the fourth module. In the fifth module, we look at the burden and standard of proof in criminal law. Finally, in the sixth module, we look at the subjects of the criminal law, including who is excluded from criminal liability.
