Rule of Law

In this course, Dr Dimitrios Kyrirtis (University of Essex) talks about the rule of law. In the first module, we examine the idea of the rule of law. In the second module, we examine substantive conceptions of the rule of law. In the third module we discuss the rule of law applied to law making, before turning to the legal system in the fourth module. In the fifth module, we move beyond the syllabus to consider the rule of law and artificial intelligence.

Rule of Law

In this module, we look at the ideal of the rule of law, focusing in particular on (i) the meaning of the rule of law (ii) the rule of law as a moral idea (iii) how to evaluate arguments concerning the rule of law.
