Micro – Behavioural Economics
In this course, Professor Johannes Abeler (University of Oxford) explores the subject of Behavioural Economics. In the first module, we look at what behavioural economics is. Then, we explore reciprocity in more detail. In the next two modules we look at morality and repetitional concerns, and temptation and procrastination. Finally, we explore the idea of bounded rationality and why this all matters.
What is Behavioural Economics?
In this module, we look at what behavioural economics is. In particular, we focus on: (i) defining Behavioural Economics; (ii) the link between economics and psychology; and (iii) how behavioural economics alters some of the fundamental assumptions of traditional Economics.
