In this course, Dr Ramin Nassehi (University College London) discusses the topic of international economic growth and development. In the first module, we introduce the key ideas about why economic growth and development are important. Then, we explore what we mean by development. After this, we look at economic growth and income inequality in more detail. In the fourth module, we look at one of the greatest success stories of economic growth - South Korea. Following this, we look at what policies can be instituted to promote economic growth in developing nations. Finally, we look at the deeper causes of income inequality between countries.
