Developing Physical Performance

In this lecture, we think about the connection between topics in physical education, focusing in particular on: (i) the importance of recognising these connections when completing long answer questions in the exam papers; (ii) recognising fitness testing as the starting point in the development of a training programme; (iii) training as the second stage in developing physical fitness; (iv) the use of energy system during training; (v) the importance of recovery after exercise; (vi) recognising immediate, short-term and long-term effects of exercise.
