Contract Terms

In this course, Professor Chris Willett (University of Essex), explores terms of a contract. In the first module, we introduce contract terms. In the second module, we look at the history of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In the third module, we discuss the satisfactory quality term, before turning to the fitness for particular purpose term in the fourth module. In the fifth module we look at the description term. In the sixth module, we turn to terms in services contracts, and finally look at the reasonable care and skill term for services in the seventh module.

Introduction

In this module, we introduce contract terms in law, focusing in particular on (i) the difference between fault-based and strict liability (ii) the application of contracts to traders and consumers (iii) contractual relationships (iv) the meaning of goods, services and digital content.
