About the lecture
In this module, we examine the finality of the resurrection, focusing in particular on (i) the question of the newness of resurrection raised in 1 Corinthians 1:15-51-2 (ii) great Christian theologians’ conceptions of human resurrection (iii) the distinction between sin and grace in Protestant conceptions of the resurrection (iv) the distinction between nature and grace in Catholic theology (v) the dual theological emphasis on death as a result of sin death and death as a natural good from various Christian thinkers (vi) resurrection as a consummation of the present life.
About the lecturer
Professor Susannah Ticciati is a lecturer in Christian Doctrine at King's College London. Her research interests are in Constructive Christian doctrinal theology, biblical hermeneutics, apophatic theology, and scriptural reasoning. her recent publications include Domains, Normativity, and Normativity Across Domains: On Peter Ochs’s Religion Without Violence (2021) and Wisdom in Patristic Interpretation: Scriptural and Cosmic Unity in Athanasius’ Exegesis of Proverbs 8:22 (2021)
