About the lecture

In this module, we have a look at what Brexit means. In particular, we will focus on: (i) the uncertain Brexit debate after the referendum, including defining what a "soft" and "hard" Brexit look like; (ii) the political battle and how it was eventually won by those who favoured a "harder: Brexit; (iii) the transition period and what this meant; (iv) the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) and the key parts of this; (v) the benefits and costs of having a free trade agreement, rather than being part of the Customs Union; and (vi) the benefits and costs of leaving the Single Market.
