About the lecture

In this module, we introduce contract terms in law, focusing in particular on (i) the difference between fault-based and strict liability (ii) the application of contracts to traders and consumers (iii) contractual relationships (iv) the meaning of goods, services and digital content.

About the lecturer

Christopher Willet is a Professor at the University of Essex. His research interests are in UK, EU and global consumer and contract law, and commercial law. His recent publications include A Legal Framework for Using Smart Contracts in Consumer Contracts: Machines as Servants, Not Masters (2023), Re-theorising Consumer Law (2018)
