Prof. Richard Sakwa

BIOGRAPHY

Richard Sakwa is the Emeritus Professor of Russian and European Politics at the University of Kent. His research focuses on the politics of the Soviet Union and its collapse, international politics and the Second Cold War, global challenges facing the former communist countries, and problems of European and global order. His recent publications include The Lost Peace: How the West Failed to Prevent a Second Cold War (2023), and Russia against the Rest: The Post-Cold War Crisis of World Order (2017).
