BIOGRAPHY

Dr Alex Windscheffel is a senior lecturer in modern British history in the Department of History at Royal Holloway, University of London. Dr Windscheffel’s research interests are in the history of modern Britain and the links between politics and culture. Some of Dr Windscheffel’s recent publications include ‘By-elections in British politics, 1832-1914’ (2015) and ‘Men or measures? Conservative Party politicians, 1815-1951’ (2002).
