BIOGRAPHY

Larry Howe is Professor of English at Roosevelt University. He specialises in the writings of Mark Twain, and is the author of Mark Twain and the Novel (Cambridge, 1998), Refocusing Chaplin: A Screen Icon Through Critical Lenses (Scarecrow 2013), and Mark Twain and Money: Language, Capital, and Culture (U Alabama Press 2017). He is Vice-President of the Mark Twain Circle and Editor of Studies in American Humor, published by Penn State University Press.
