Prof. Ryan Lavelle

BIOGRAPHY

Professor Ryan Lavelle is a Professor in Early Medieval History in the School of History, Archaeology and Philosophy at the University of Winchester. Professor Lavelle’s research interests are in Anglo-Saxon Winchester and King Alfred. Professor Lavelle is author of the award-winning book Alfred's Wars: Sources and Interpretations of Anglo-Saxon Warfare in the Viking Age.
