Dr Guido van Meersbergen

BIOGRAPHY

Dr Guido van Meersbergen is an associate professor in early modern global history and director of the Global History and Culture Centre in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Warwick. Dr van Meersbergen’s research interests are in early modern global trade, diplomacy and travel. Some of Dr van Meersbergen’s recent publications include ‘Ethnography and encounter: The Dutch and English in seventeenth-century South Asia’ (2022) and ‘The Dutch East India Company in South Asia’ (2023).
