Dr Tony Talburt

BIOGRAPHY

Dr Tony Talburt is a senior lecturer in Black Studies in the School of Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. Dr Talburt’s research interests are in Blackness in Britain, the Black Arts Movement and understanding self through history. Some of Dr Talburt’s recent publications include ‘British Colonialism and the Development of Soccer in the Caribbean, Soccer in the Caribbean & Beyond: Progress and Challenges’ (2021) and ‘Political Transformation and Development in Africa: Lessons from Achebe’s Things Fall Apart’ (2020).
