Dr Andrew Bell is a lecturer in law at the University of Bristol. His research interests are in private law (mainly tort and contract) from doctrinal, comparative and historical perspectives. His recent publications include The law and the state in states of uncertainty (2023) and Fault-based and Strict Liabilities: Forms and Features in the English Common Law (2022)
