BIOGRAPHY

Aurelie Basha is a lecturer in American History at the University of Kent. She specialises in US foreign policy in the Cold War, with a particular focus on the Vietnam War, civil–military relations and the interaction of defence policy with economics. With this in mind, she has published widely, including (2019) ‘I Made Mistakes’: Robert McNamara’s Vietnam War Policy, 1960–1968 (Cambridge University Press, 2019) and ‘Breaking Ranks: Robert McNamara, Adam Yarmolinsky, and the Montreal Speech' (Diplomatic History, 2019).
