BIOGRAPHY

Dr Daniel Hartley is Assistant Professor of World Literature at Durham University. His research and teaching focuses on literary style, ‘world literature’ and the historical sociology of modernity. His recent publications include The Politics of Style: Towards a Marxist Poetics (2017) and The Voices of Capital: Poetics of Critique Beyond Sentiment and Cynicism (2021).
