Prof. Bas Aarts

BIOGRAPHY

Bas Aarts is Professor of English Linguistics at University College, London. His research interest within English language studies is in the field of syntax, more specifically verbal syntax, while he has also worked on the phenomenon of gradience in grammar. Some of his recent publications include (as co-author) How to Teach Grammar (2019) and (as co-editor) The Oxford Handbook of English Grammar (2020)
