About the lecture

In this module, we introduce the process of law making in Parliament, focusing in particular on (i) parliamentary sovereignty (ii) different kinds of law (iii) types of parliamentary law (iv) delegated legislation.

About the lecturer

Paul Evans is a former Parliamentary Clerk of the House of Commons and honorary research associate of UCL, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and serves on the ESRC Grant Assessment Panel for politics and international relations. He has been Head of the Scrutiny Unit and Clerk of the Human Rights, Defence and Health select committees.
